Morrow County Benchmarks
The Oregon
Progress Board tracks 39 indicators of well-being at
the county level. These benchmarks were selected by the board to
measure the county’s progress towards achieving: “1)
Quality Jobs: 2) Engaged, Caring and Safe Communities; and 3) Healthy,
Sustainable Surroundings.”
Community
Economic Toolbox
The Community Economic Toolbox, designed for the Poverty
in America website, is “designed to enable anyone interested
in their local economy to use standard indicators to make a first
cut at understanding its potential.” The Toolbox holds details
about your county’s Local Economic Indicators, Historical
Performance, Location Quotients, and provides an in-depth Shift-Share
Analysis. The tools include clear explanations in an easy to use
format.
Regional Asset Indicators
Regional Asset Indicators are calculated by the Center
for the Study of Rural America and are designed as “forward-looking
metrics” that may “influence both migration and business
location decisions.” County level assets are measured in terms
of Human Amenities, Infrastructure, Wealth, Financial, Underemployment,
and Entrepreneurship. Each county’s asset indicator is reported
along with the county averages for Oregon and the United States.

Area Foundation Indicators Website
The Northwest
Area Foundation’s Indicators Website graphs and/or maps
thirty-three poverty related indicators at the county level. These
indicators cover such categories as Population Characteristics,
Income and Poverty, Employment, Family/Kids, Housing, Education,
Health, and Crime & Safety. Each graphic compares your county
indicators to Oregon, and the entire United States.

indicators using data going back to 1969. Follow the link above.
